We love seeing our Wagyu in kitchens that care deeply about craft, community, and creativity. That’s why we’re especially proud to be featured at Little Fish in Melrose Hill, Los Angeles.
Founded by Niki Vahle and Anna Sonenshein, Little Fish began humbly in 2020 as a pop-up, serving thoughtfully prepared dishes through a small kitchen window. What started as a simple concept quickly gained momentum, earning recognition from the Michelin Guide and growing into two beloved locations in Echo Park and Melrose Hill. Along the way, they’ve cultivated not just a loyal following, but a vibrant network of collaborators who share their passion for quality and innovation.
Little Fish has become known for its ability to balance approachability with chef-level execution. Their now-iconic Filet-O-Fish sandwich has developed a cult-like following, and their menu; rooted in Japanese influence and ingredient-driven simplicity focuses primarily on seafood. Which is exactly why it’s such an honor for Lone Mountain Wagyu to be featured as one of their rare non-seafood offerings.
If you visit, don’t miss the Lone Mountain Wagyu Denver Steak with Bloomsdale spinach—a dish that perfectly reflects Little Fish’s clean, thoughtful, California-meets-bistro style. It’s a seamless collaboration of ingredient and intention.
What Niki, Anna, and their team have built goes far beyond a restaurant. They’ve created a true community. One grounded in creativity, collaboration, and care. We couldn’t be prouder to play even a small part in their story.
If you find yourself in Los Angeles, make Little Fish a must-visit. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed!
And if you’re inspired to bring a bit of that experience home, you can cook with the same Wagyu trusted by some of the country’s most exciting kitchens. This partnership is also made possible by our incredible distribution partner, Cream Co. Meats, who help connect our ranch to restaurants that share our commitment to quality.
